How to format data before run schema validation?

Hello i have some problem with handle errors with formik. I have sth like this

    initialValues: {
      test: null
      items: [],
    },
    onSubmit: async (values: any, { setErrors }) => {

      Yup.object().shape({

  });

In form.items I have object

{time: hh.mm as string}

before validation, I want to change the time from hh.mm to duration in seconds. There are some options to do it?
