Depending on the Mac model and macOS version used it should be possible, yes. Did you try enabling flexible scaling? https://github.com/waydabber/BetterDisplay/wiki/Fully-scalable-HiDPI-desktop |

I don't want to upgrade the system because doing so might make the computer lag. I'll only do it if it's absolutely necessary and see if it's a system issue. |

Oh, it looks like the display is not natively connected. You probably use a displaylink dock or something similar. With that flexible scaling can't be enabled. Try connecting the display directly to your Mac. |

You're right. I'm using displaylink. If I link directly, it's indeed very convenient to modify the resolution. I have two problems now

Forget it. The virtual screen solution seems quite troublesome. Thank you very much. |

I have LG Dualup monitor with native 2560x2880 resolution. Everything is so small, so I set it to 1280x1440 in BetterDisplay. Now everything is sized better, but everything is a little fuzzy. Now when I turn on High Resolution (HiDPI) in BetterDisplay, the texts look super clear but the screen resolution changes to 1680x945 with huge black bars both above and below the screen. How can I keep 1280x1440 resolution and still use HiDPI? Is that possible?
