Resizing ImageClip doesn't seem to work

I'm having trouble resizing image clips--it just doesn't want to resize...

img_clip_raw = ImageClip(image_path)       
resized_clip = img_clip_raw.with_effects([vfx.Resize((1920, 1080))])        
final_image_clip = (resized_clip 
                    .with_duration(duration_per_image)
                    .with_position('center')
                    .with_start(current_start_time)) 
processed_clips.append(final_image_clip)
final_composition = CompositeVideoClip(processed_clips, size=(1920, 1080))
final_composition.write_videofile(f"{output_dir}/video.mp4", fps=fps, )

I'm not sure if I'm not understanding or it's a bug. I also found some stack overflow post mentioning using clip.resize() but those post are old and I think the method is removed from the latest version of MoveiPY
