Home assistant integration (via CalDAV)

I was looking for a way to get my habits into Home Assistant as a todo entity rather than a switch for just one, but none existed.

With the power of AI, I created a CalDAV server in Python that integrates with beaverhabits. That way, I can just setup the CalDAV integration in home assistant to use it as a todo without unstable custom integrations in home assistant.

Hi Ultra-bob, your caldav bridge looks fantastic and helped persuade me to setup beaverhabits, I think having the habits visible in HA would really help. Apologies if I'm missing something obvious but it looks as though there is an issue if beaverhabits is running with this option:
TRUSTED_LOCAL_EMAIL=your@email.com # Skip authentication
(I'm happy to use this as my instance is only visible locally and I'm happy for anyone on my local network to see my habits/tasks)

Does that sound right and would it be possible to add a variable that would get the python code to bypass getting the auth token?

Hi there, firstly thanks very much for responding so quickly. I'm not sure why, but I still had problems running in the no-auth mode, but I've got it working successfully using a username/password combination, so I'm happy to use that and experiment further with use within Home Assistant(HA). If I generate any useful code/config in HA perhaps it would be useful to share it here...
