2. Adding Payments
This document continues from 1. Creating First Ticket tutorial. Please complete it before starting this tutorial.
On previous tutorial we created our first ticket. Now we'll add payments to the ticket.
Click on the ticket row to display the ticket.
Like the Order Card, Payment will be another sub card under the Ticket Card. To add a sub card under Ticket Card we need do click on Card Menu button to display available commands.
Please ensure you're clicking on top level card menu button.
Click on Create Card
menu item to add a new sub card under top level ticket card.
A new empty sub card will appear under the Order Card. This will be the card we'll use for the payment so we'll call it Payment Card.
Click on Payment Card menu button to display available commands.
We need to tag the card to set properties for the payment card. Click on Set Card Tag
button to display Tag Dialog.
For payment transactions we need to enter a tag value, amount and the target of the payment. We entered Cash
(Payment Type) for the Tag Value. 5
as the Amount. Finally Wallet
as the Target. Setting Target as Wallet means we'll track payments under Wallet account.
Click Submit to close the dialog.
You'll notice Ticket Balance decreased to 4.00. A Card balance gets calculated from card tags and sub card balances.
- Card Tags that have
Source
Value increases Card Balance. - Card Tags that have
Target
Value decreases Card Balance. - If Card Tag have both Source and Target values it does not change the Card Balance.
So that means we received 5.00 Cash Payment, target of the payment is Wallet account so it decreases ticket balance.
We can't close a card that have a balance. So we still need to receive 4.00 more payment to be able to close the card.
Click Check Mark button to save the Ticket Card.
To see the current status of the Wallet account Click on Report
menu item on main menu.
You'll see the Report Screen.
Type Wallet
as the search value and press Enter.
We can see Wallet account balance is 5.00.
You can also try creating a report for Hamburger
.
