that repo links a css file that is on your local disk. Without it colors are transparent

this has something to do with the opaque region. Background -> #121212FE fixes this. I am not sure if this is fixable without a properly defined rounding algorithm in wp_fractional_scale... this is probably a rounding error where gtk assumes round() but we floor()...
