Self-hosting the website and abandoning Netlify

I paste below the email @minhuyenhoang wrote to answer our question about knowing the basic steps to deploy the website, so that we can self-host it, instead of using Netlify as it currently is.

To answer your question, I would need to know where the developer is intending to host. Is he hosting it via a cloud service/virtual machine? I can think of some on top of my head like Heroku, AWS, GCP, Digital Ocean, and Docker.

However, the required steps would be:

• Run npm run build to build the website.
• Then, run npm run start to start the server. (The great thing about Next.js is that it already created a server for us! Woohoo! 🙌)

Depending on what he uses, after he runs those two commands, he might need to run more commands. He would also need to take into account the web traffic, the SSL certificate, etc.
