How can I disable update checks and update reminder

I'm mass deploying NVDA via Intune and need to disable all update checks and warnings. How can this task acomplished?

I cannot find a registry key in HKLM to disable it or it is possibly not documented? This need to be a machine setting, not a per user setting.

Please document the settings registry keys or how this can be done.

Looking for something like

• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\nvda\disableUpdateCheck = 1
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\nvda\disableUpdateReminder = 1

This should be handled by Secure Mode. I see you've already opened #18275, so I will continue the discussion there.
More specific handling has been proposed in #16599

Are you saying ForceSecureMode disables the update checks? It is not documented to work this way, isn‘t it? It is difficult to guess if that is true…

@alexhass per the user guide (emphasis mine):

Secure mode disables:

• Saving configuration and other settings to disk
• Saving the gesture map to disk
• Configuration Profile features such as creation, deletion, renaming profiles etc.
• Loading custom configuration folders using the -c command line option
• Updating NVDA and creating portable copies
• The Add-on Store
• The NVDA Python console
• The Log Viewer and logging
• The Braille Viewer and Speech Viewer
• Opening external documents from the NVDA menu, such as the user guide file.
