The select options box lacks borders, usually bottom and right borders.

Of course! I've attached a screenshot that shows the issue. My OS: Windows 11 Home and my browser: Google Chrome Version 138.0.7204.97

That's not from daisyUI. It's you OS.
daisyUI only applies style to the select, not the menu that opens afterwards.
